So it’s here!! Our friends at GeekChicDaily are launching their daily LA blast with all sorts of goodies and updates every day.  CBS! member Peter Levin has been taking GCD into the next stratosphere over the past year and with the launch of the LA daily email, the first step into city-specific geek-isms begins!! Earlier this year they made the announcement of their alliance with Legendary Pictures which is quite exciting since they are the home of all the comic book-inspired films we’ve come to know and love.  Congrats on the next phase, GCD, and looking forward to doing great things together in the future!!!

And for those that don’t get the GCD email here’s the copy from the announcement:

Los Angeles is like a burlesque dancer; most of the coolest stuff she has to offer isn’t easy to see. Or find. Unless you’ve got experience. Which we do. Help us help you get the goodies on the City of Angels with GeekChicLA. Sign up now, and win a Museum Replicas Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi cloak! (Contest ends May 9th. Hit our Facebook and Twitter pages for bonus entries.)

From special screenings to secret signings, eccentric art shows to cosplay conventions, GeekChicLA will help you get into the sweet spots you’d never know about if you weren’t a subscriber. Plus, you’ll get special discounts and giveaways to boot. It’s like all the devilishly good dirt you get from GeekChicDaily but with a local twist, three times a week.

To kick things off, we’ve got a glorious giveaway, and this ain’t no mind trick: get your hands on an Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi cloak! Don’t forget to check out our Facebook and Twitter pages as well for extra chances to enter.

Street art has taken over MOCA. Alterna-hotties are storming LA stages in space armor. Look around yourselves, kiddies: Los Angeles is ready to bare her soul to you. Let us strip the sunny city down to its hottest essentials and deliver them straight to your inbox. Get on board with GeekChicLA…or get left behind.
